Christie Culp

International Admission Councilor Loyola Marymount University
Los Angeles, U.S.

As a professional international recruiter of 10+ years, I meet innumerable amounts a people every year. Few stand out as much as Tomi. Engaging, disarming, and genuine, Tomi has a special ability to hold meaningful conversation while making impactful connections. Once you’ve met Tomi, you cannot forget his name. His breath of knowledge is impressive for a man his age. He has the intellectual capacity to write his own ticket in life. He could be anything he chooses in life, from a physicist, a philosopher, a filmmaker, to a businessman. After a few minutes of speaking with Tomi, I knew he was special. He ultimately applied to for a spot in my university's Film Production program which receives thousands of applications for only a handful of spots. It was clear that Tomi was an outstanding candidate who was more than prepared for the program.

After advocating for his admission to the film program at my university, Tomi enrolled and did not disappoint. We soon hired him in our office in order to assist with customer service and our creative efforts in outreach. He proved more than adept in making connections and serving our constituents. We quickly understood that his talents could be better leveraged in creating video content secondary to the priorities of our office. Tomi took on the challenge in stride. He lead the projects, recruited the talent, directed the filming, etc with the precision of a ten person team. The quality of his work was beyond that of a student secondary to impeccable time management, innate storytelling abilities, and sheer talent. It didn’t take long for his videos to garner the attention of our Communication and Marketing Department. Tomi’s projects were utilized for the marketing and outreach efforts of the entire university.

Merete Thorsen

Group Training Manager
Arena Treningssenter (2018 - 2019)
Stavanger, Norway

Tomi Kufel started working as an instructor at Arena Treningssenter in August 2018. He was actively involved in several group training classes and was noticed because of his technique and great energy. He was recruited as an instructor in Les Mills BodyPump and later took a certification in Les Mills BodyBalance as well.

Tomi is a reliable person with a wonderful positive and inclusive energy. He works hard and is always very dedicated. I would highly recommend him.

Jens Vigen

Scientific Information Officer European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN)
Geneva, Switzerland

I have personally known Mr. Tomasz (Tomi) Kufel since October 2017. We met in the framework of the High-School Students Internship Programme organized by CERN. Tomi was one of 24 students who had been selected following a very competitive process run across Norway. Each one of the participants was brilliant, but quite quickly I observed that Tomi had something extra and appeared as outstanding within the party.

I was impressed how quickly Tomi understood how experimental research depends on a variety of services and infrastructures to function. As part of his stay at CERN, he got the opportunity to experience this himself as he participated in the preparation of the shipment of some major detectors to be delivered to Japan. In addition to work shadowing, the Students Internship Programme consisted of many laboratory visits and lectures. At each occasion Tomi posed well-articulated questions.

Teachers will appreciate his abilities to connect and to push his curiosity to understand the mysteries of the Universe and all the various theories and technologies we apply to explore this.

Ronni Marinez

International Admission Counselor Loyola Marymount University
Los Angeles, U.S.

Tomi is an outstanding worker who is forward thinking, creative, and detail oriented. Tomi worked in the Office of International Admission & Outreach for 3 years and continued to show his leadership skills. His final year in our office, he was a student manager and worked to train new student workers.

Moreover, Tomi was an integral part of our team as he helped to develop our marketing materials. He worked on video projects to showcase LMU for prospective students and their families. He consistently amazed our team with his work and his talent in capturing the LMU student community.

It was an honor to have Tomi on our team and I have no doubt that he will continue to be an asset to any work environment that he is a part of.

Adrian Milewski

Agglomeration Leader
Decathlon Szczecin
Poland

I had the pleasure to hire Tomi as our filmmaker to lead the production of multiple film projects in 2020-2021 at Decathlon. With brilliant energy, diligence, and contagious motivation to reach goals, Tomi brought Hollywood quality to our promotional projects.

We took an interest in Tomi after seeing his film work for one of our business partners. During our initial meeting to discuss a concept focused on inclusivity in sports, it became clear that we found the right person to entrust with production. In collaboration with Decathlon’s Ambassadors, Tomi went on to direct a powerful film titled, “Equals in Sports: A Story of Six,” featuring Polish champions Krzysztof Pietrzyk (Polish basketball Paralympian), Krzysztof Lechniak (Polish national medalist in para swimming) and Mateusz Dura (one of few professional para tricyclists in Poland). Tomi engaged our Decathlon team and athletes in a fulfilling shooting process. The final edit was moving and impactful, with thoughtful transitions and great interviews. He executed the production utilizing a mix of techniques – from flying drones to going underwater – always close to the action.

We consequently decided to hire Tomi’s services for further eight projects, in which he continued to produce professional work in the form of promotional films for our local stores, and nation-wide Employer Branding projects, as well as an emergency drills video for annual workshops.

Tomi proved to be a skillful collaborator, and above all, a genuine human being with a knack for making the world healthier and more united. I confidently recommend him to any company or business looking for someone to bring energy and their projects to reality.

Sal Ardongdé

Independent Filmmaker,
Los Angeles, U.S.

I am delighted to recommend Tomi Kufel, who was the 1st Assistant Director on my MFA thesis film, Jalopy*, at Loyola Marymount University in 2022. Our complicated production benefited tremendously from his thoughtful coordination and always positive attitude.

During our six-day production, Tomi demonstrated strong leadership in managing our film shoots across multiple locations: like driving scenes on public roads with police escorts, outdoor settings that include the Yosemite National Park, and a visual effects stage.

His meticulous preparation of shot lists and documentation ensured smooth company moves and clear communications across departments. He also led our important morning all-hands meetings that ensured a culture of safety and energized our team.

A passionate artist himself, Tomi’s dedication to excellence combined with his inclusive interpersonal skills makes him an exceptional candidate for any role in the film industry.

*Official selection of LA Shorts International Film Festival 2024 (an Oscar and BAFTA qualifying festival) and a Gold winner of the 45th Annual Telly Awards.

Małgorzata Schwarz

Mayor
Kołbaskowo Municipality
Poland

Tomasz "Tomi" Kufel provided services in the form of film production promoting the Kołbaskowo Commune. As a professional in the field of film and multimedia, Tomi demonstrated extraordinary ability for adaptation and innovation. His technical and operational skills, both in the area of filming as well as post-production, contributed to the creation of high-standard materials that effectively communicated our activities to the residents of our region.

During our cooperation, Mr. Tomasz skillfully cooperated with people who did not have prior experience standing before the cameras. I evaluate his ability to build trust and feeling of safety among people unaccustomed to the world of reflector lights, as key for producing this type of promotional materials.

His work is characterized not only by technical perfection, but also by a profound sensitivity to social, narrative and marketing dimensions. Tomi Kufel is excellent at managing multi-faceted projects, from concept to final product completion. He has the ability to coordinate a team and manage complex logistics of a production. Additionally, Tomi demonstrated exceptional interpersonal skills while working with various groups of people, which is crucial in the dynamic environment of communication and public relations. His positive attitude, work ethic and professionalism make him an exceptional leader and creator.

I fully recommend Mr. Tomasz for projects that require both creativity and as well as strategic thinking. I am convinced that his skills, experience and commitment will bring value to any organization or initiative, that decides to cooperate with him.
